Tomato & Greek Mania

September 30, 2010

I actually put this into a glass of ice too.

And thrilled to have these again! Bolanis! Yay!

I was going to meet my friend for lunch. But the time got moved later, and I was hungry. What to do? What to eat? I saw these pretty little dry-farmed Early Girl tomatoes from the farmers market. I ate a couple. Then a couple more. They were SO GOOD. Sweet sweet sweet. What a great snack!

Met up with my WW BFF buddy at a Greek fast-foodish sort of place. The thing that was totally Awesome about this place is that they give out complete nutritional info. So we were able to inform ourselves and make good choices. I started with this soup, and had about 1/3 of the cup.

I got this veggie plate. It came with two sides, and I chose the roasted veggies which were SO GOOD. I also got some tabouli salad. The Nutritional list told me that the rest of my plate was a bunch of points. I mean a BUNCH. So I had half of the rest of it: Spanakopita, falafel, dolma, pita, hummus. It was darn good.

I also had 1/6 (roughly) this piece of baklava. GOOD.

  1. D’oh! Bolanis! I knew there was something I was forgetting when I broke my Whole Foods fast the other day.

    Gosh, those tomatoes look heavenly!

  2. It’s amazing how some dishes can add up – look likes you made great choices though!

Hope you are having a great week! Just about to dive into my tea stash – not even what sure is leftover from last winter!
